We are

Seven women

young theatre makers

shifting experiences of womanhood in the South African landscape.

As part of the 4th year Theatre-making course at UCT, students are required to devise a piece of theatre that has traditionally been showcased at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown with the support of the South African Post Office and UCT.

However, with a decline in use of the postal service, the South African Post Office is no longer able to fund student productions and UCT is currently facing austerity which means that there is no room in the budget for the students to work with.

In spite of this, the 4th year theatre making studio, also known as FEAST Collective, has chosen to undertake both the task of developing a play and the project of raising funds to see that play can be produced in Grahamstown.

FEAST Collective has chosen to do this because we feel the content of our production is a relevant and necessary conversation.

Help us realise our vision.
