A fundraising evening dedicated to helping the 4th-year theatre-making studio take their production FIGS to the Grahamstown National Arts Festival in July. FIGSRAISING is sure to be an evening of treats with performances from up-and-coming artists. The evening will begin at 19h00 with drinks in the UCT Hiddingh Campus, Arena Theatre foyer, followed by performances in the Bindery Theatre from past and current UCT students.

Acts range from poetry to theatre and instructional comedy. After the performances, there will be a 15-minute break during which people may buy more raffle tickets and drinks at the bar.

At the end of the break, the winner of the raffle will be announced after which a Q & A session with the company of FIGS will commence in the Bindery Theatre; for those interested, the Q & A session is an opportunity for guests to discuss the work that the fundraising is going towards, ask questions of process, discuss obstacles, goals, the future and more. 

Tickets are R300 each and include a complimentary glass of wine, a single entry in to the raffle and an evening of performances.

The raffle is for a two-night stay at the 4-star guest house Sea Paradise, in Wilderness, worth R3500
